Why Blue Fin

Founded in 1999. Still here. Still answering the phone.

Blue Fin was founded in Castlewellan, Northern Ireland by John Walsh, drawing on his career at IBM UK. The brief then is the same as now: cost-effective, professional, bespoke software that helps SMEs run better. We’ve kept the same name, the same office, and largely the same team — because long-running software needs long-running people. When you call us in 2036 to extend something we built for you in 2026, the people who wrote it will likely still pick up the phone.
