Our brief for this job was to develop a User friendly Client/Server Sales Order System that integrates seamlessly with their existing Sage Product catalog(s) and finance system(s). The resulting solution was delivered on time and within budget, successfully integrates with two seperate Sage databases, one for each of the “companies” within QuinFresh, Production and Wholesale. This project involved combining multiple disparate systems, including software on Motorola MC7090 handheld devices used to scan items and register their receipt as they arrived in the warehouse. This information can then be compared against daily manifests and daily scanned PODs (Proof of Delivery documents)from various customers to highlight anomolies. Our brief was to replace an existing big name brand Document Management System that was inflexible and expensive to maintain. The new system processes in excess of 2000 Proof of Delivery (POD) documents each day. Scanning, indexing and making available for retrieval by staff in the office and by Customers via the company web site. We successfully developed a replacement solution which recognises Barcodes, printed Text and hand-written text. Not only is it a more efficient and flexible solution but the project was delivered 20% below budget, all of which means significant savings for our customer.
