Our brief for this job was to develop a User friendly Client/Server Sales Order System that integrates seamlessly with their existing Sage Product catalog(s) and finance system(s). The resulting solution was delivered on time and within budget, successfully integrates with two seperate Sage databases, one for each of the “companies” within QuinFresh, Production and Wholesale. Initial feedback from the Users is very positive and efficiency savings are expected over the coming months.

This project involved combining multiple disparate systems, including software on Motorola MC7090 handheld devices used to scan items and register their receipt as they arrived in the warehouse. This information can then be compared against daily manifests and daily scanned PODs (Proof of Delivery documents)from various customers to highlight anomolies. Our customer realised significant man-power savings due to the successful implementation of this project.

Our brief was to replace an existing big name brand Document Management System that was inflexible and expensive to maintain. The new system processes in excess of 2000 Proof of Delivery (POD) documents each day. Scanning, indexing and making available for retrieval by staff in the office and by Customers via the company web site. We successfully developed a replacement solution which recognises Barcodes, printed Text and hand-written text. Not only is it a more efficient and flexible solution but the project was delivered 20% below budget, all of which means significant savings for our customer.

Blue-fin has has now fully integrated Fusion Heating’s Jobs Management System (JMS) with Sage Instant Accounts to enable seamless invoicing through the JMS with sage.

As part of the ongoing growth of the TCS Imports Company, Blue-fin has developed a Stock Order System to record customer orders and place new orders with manufacturers. The system also records incoming shipments of new stock and includes detailed reporting tools.

Working in partnership with Web Design company, Subversive Design, Blue-fin provided the coding to enable the Kings Hall Events team to keep the site constantly updated via a CMS(Content Management System) with the latest news and events. The Site is now live at www.kingshall.co.uk

As part of a drive to streamline Express Parcels POD(Proof of Delivery) Mechanism. Blue-fin have developed a Document Management System (DMS) which enables Express Parcels staff to quickly import and view customers PODs, as well as automatically emailing PODs to their customers and printing facilities on a daily basis. As part of this development a new Online POD website has been set up to give customer’s an Online view of their POD’s via a secure login.

Working with Fusion Heating and JMC Mechanical. Blue-fin has released a new piece of software to enable them to manage properties and Jobs from Housing Associations around Northern Ireland. The system includes detailed reporting tools and will soon be fully integrated to Sage to enable the two companies to fully integrate with their respective invoicing and accounts packages.
